Seattle Advances Data Center Moratorium, Amid Public Backlash

The Seattle City Council is advancing a one-year moratorium on large-scale data centers after intense public opposition, with more than 93,000 emails sent to city leaders. The legislation would also create a new utility rate class for large data center customers.
