Polls and Protests Show Americans Are Turning on Data Centers
A new Gallup poll finds seven in ten Americans oppose data centers being built near them, with opposition cutting across party lines. Survey respondents cite excessive water and energy use as primary objections, and at least 142 activist groups across 24 states are now organized against new construction.
