Box Elder County Commissioners approve data-center moratorium; Stratos project exempt

Box Elder County commissioners unanimously approved a 180-day moratorium on new data center development to allow time to study land-use codes and guidelines. The controversial Stratos Project, which proposes a data center and up to 9 gigawatts of power generation capacity, remains exempt from the temporary halt.
