AI Act Update: EU Resolves to Change Rules and Extend Deadlines

The EU AI Act Omnibus political agreement reached May 7 postpones Annex III high-risk AI system obligations from August 2026 to December 2027, and Annex I obligations to August 2028. It also introduces new prohibitions on AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery and CSAM, effective December 2, 2026.
